My coworker, Carrie Malatesta, and I were very honored to be selected as speakers for this year’s NeoCon Interior Design Conference and Expo and we spoke last wednesday. Our session, Hidden Costs: Product Selection with Life Cycle Assessment in Mind aimed to act as a starting point for anyone wanting to delve into the very complex topic of Life Cycle Assessment. An hour is such as a short period of time to work with, but I think that we were able to give attendees some insight into what Life Cycle Assessment is, how it’s different from Life Cycle Cost Assessment, and some resources for life cycle assessment tools and certifications that are currently available.
